Why write?
Why do authors write? Writing is hard. It requires discipline. Often there are readers who thoroughly enjoy what you have written...yet there will be a few who will critique what you have written to pieces. Should we authors let this discourage us? No. We write because we have something to say. We write because God has given us a story. We write because there are readers out there who will want to read what we have written.

We write because it has to come out--all the good and beautiful things, all the painful, ugly things . . . the wonders we've discovered and the hurts we've endured. Everyone has pain and joy in their life. A writer is someone who is willing to enter it deeply and then either expose or interpret it for their reader--who can have the good cry or hardly chuckle they've desperately needed . . . and just maybe discover a nuggest of truth buried for them within the entertainment of a good story. That's what I think!
